The third and final  race of the cross country league took place on Sunday the 29th of November in Tymon Park  Despite the wintry conditions we had a very good attendance from our juvenile athletes.

In the girls u9 race Saoirse Fitzgerald finished in 1st place with Isobel Cuffe and Alison Bracken finishing in the top 30.

In the boys u9 race Cillian O’Connor finished in 3rd place. He was followed by Charlie Hughes running his 1st cross country race of the season. Next was Cathal Mullally who was followed closely by David Coakley.

In the girls u10 race Maggie Jez finished in 8th place and she was followed by Eimear Smyth.

In the boys u10 race Liam Fitzgerald finished in 7th place and Oisin Mullally and Robert O’Connell finished in the top 21.

Eve Noctor and Hannah Moriarty finished off a very successful cross country season in 2nd and 5th place respectively in the girls u11 race. Milly Hughes and  Aoife Nealon followed close behind.

James Nealon and Tom Bracken had their best race of the season in the boys u11 race.

Kate O’Connell was our representative in the girls u12 race and she finished in 12th place.

In the girls u13 race Millie Reid and Nicole Ryan finished in the top 21.

Patrick Hughes, and Cillian Mullally ran in the boys u13 race.

For the first time in a number of years we have a team representing Lucan Harriers in the Cross Country Juvenile National Championships in Dungarvan next weekend. We also have three athletes representing Lucan Harriers and the Dublin team in the girls u11 race and the girls u13.  The very best of luck to Milly Hughes, Maggie Jez, Hannah Moriarty, Eve Noctor and Millie Reid.
